Meet Israel — the hands behind the machine.

Israel is based in the sweet town of Boone nested quietly in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, where her and her little growing family reside.

Growing up in a small town, both Israel and her siblings were often forced to create their own entertainment. Israel often found herself sewing pillows, purses, making furniture for her Barbie Dreamhouse, and of course, creating Barbie’s perfect wardrobe. Over the years, her desires and pursuits of creativity evolved until resting on a very simple, yet sweet idea of “one of a kind” quilted jackets, thus Fina + Dol was born.

Fina + Dol is an ode to two of the most incredible women in her life, her maternal and paternal grandmother’s, Delfina + Dolores. So much of who she is, is because of who they are as mother’s, makers, creative, sewists + so much more.

Israel’s hope is that each piece she creates brings not only a sense of coziness but that every garment would to be laced with confidence, beauty + love.
